Van Gaal goes all out for Scholes' jugular |
Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal (popularly called "Mr. Philosophy" for his 'philosophical' approach to football coaching) has hit back at Manchester United Legend, and currrently a football pundit, Paul Scholes for criticising his style of play and calling it "boring".
The Dutch man who took over the rein of the Manchester side last season, says of Scholes' criticism, "I don't agree with his opinion. I always take risks. Manchester United is always entertaining." He went further to dismiss the former midfielder's antagonistic verbal
outburst in a cheeky way by saying; "stick and stones will break my bones, names won't hurt me".
LVG who sees his Man Utd team fourth on the table after a drab goalless derby with table toppers and local arch rivals, Man City, questioned Scholes' motive for his criticism of his tactics by saying; "Is he saying this for the benefit of the club or benefit of himself?...when we lose, lose and lose, I shall be finished. I know, but we are improving. We have 20 points from 10 games. Last year it was 13" before submitting that "...when you are a legend, you have to speak with the manager, Giggs or Ed Woodward..."
Apparently, there's a cold verbal war brewing at the red side of Manchester. We will be watching and give you updates...
