Hacker cum fraudster, using Ondo and Lagos States deputy
governor’s Facebook accounts to defraud people, has been nabbed .
Like the saying goes, every day for the thief, one day for
the owner, Daniel Obasi was doing his dark, dirty deeds. He ostensibly forgot
the second part of that cliché. All along he was thinking it was just, “Every
day for the thief.”
Daniel Obasi, who lives in Port Harcourt, was arrested
for impersonating and entering hacking
the social media accounts of top government officials to dupe unknowing
Nigerians. He was arrested by men of the State Criminal Investigation and
Intelligence Department.
His Modus Operandi
He hacks into the accounts of his victims by creating another
code in place of the owner’s original code and thereafter blocks his victims
access to the accounts.
