Mainstream Nigerian artists, Omah Lay and Tems have been arrested in Uganda for disregarding the nation's COVID-19 wellbeing measures.

The artists held a sold-out show in the East-African country with a monstrous number of turnout from Ugandan fans.
In any case, clamor from the nation's performers prompted their arrest, as they blamed their nation's security for inclination – capturing resident performers while releasing unfamiliar artistes without any penalty when they disregard Covid-19 laws.
Kampala's Assistant Superintendent of Police, Owoyesigyire, made the declaration on Sunday, December 13, by means of his official Twitter page.

He tweeted, "Nigerian Artist Omah lay has been arrested by katwe police, the manager of the venue one Dungu Ivan and the Events manager Prim Kasana are also in custody.”
In a rejoinder tweet, he also wrote, “Temilade Openiyi Aka Ms Tems (Artist) also been arrested with her manager Muyiwa Awomiyi"
