The other day I received such, I tried to call the guy to waste a little of his time. After Etisalat has dashed me some free Airtime when I loaded N2000 to recharge my data. The guy picked and I immediately acted the fool, telling him am so delighted to be calling The Central bank and I hope to work with them in the future.
He asked me to go straight to the point, with his crazy accent that wouldn't even pass for a security man at any bank. He asked when was the last time I withdrew from my bank and I said the previous Saturday. He then asked how much I had in the account, I told him N200,000.
He then went ahead to tell why my ATM was de-activated and I needed to activate by calling out my ATM card numbers. I said no problem and thanked him for his help. I then started calling wrong numbers. I guess he knew the numbers were fake when we got to the 8th Digit.
He just said " You must be a fool for wasting your time and money" and he hung up
Thief!!! Ole!!! EFCC needs to begin to crack down on these guys as well because they have exploited a lot of people of their life savings and they should be brought to book.
