Runtown has been the talk of the media for some days now and his friend and fellow musician Shakar El, has extended some words of advice to the Banger singer. Shakar El took to pen and paper to write down a letter saying;
“My brother, it is clear that these are trying times for you, it is normal for each and everyone of us to go through hard times even our Lord Jesus Christ had his own share of trying times but what really matters is how it ends and what we make out of it.
For a couple of days now Runtown has been trending on social media but this time not because of your dope videos or collaborations but because of your battle with your record label.
Two wrongs can never make a right, my brother I beg you to settle whatever issues you have with your label, I plead with you to sacrifice and see out your contract so you can be truly free, it is very clear that your label has done very well for you, dope videos, back to back airplay on TV e.t.c compared to other labels out there.
Few months ago at your private album listening party, you described your boss Dilly as your ‘best friend’ so I don’t know what really happened along the line.
The inability of an artist to perform his own hit songs is like a pregnant woman that can’t give birth, you are supposed to be in the studio making more hits and not in the court.
The current Nigerian justice system won’t favour you and will waste your time and once you are not relevant in the music industry again, your fans will move on; that is the case in our crowded industry. This is the time for you to pray, God won’t mislead you because I see this more like a spiritual attack to bring you down.

When there were no funds nor investors, when I had to take you to the then bubbling Elegushi beach to introduce you to different Djs, your first time to Industry Nights and less than one year later you headlined Industry Night.
The time when I’ve had to take you to some radio stations here in Lagos to mention a few. It was because I believed in your craft even as a fellow artiste I was not selfish. I shared my contacts with you until you got signed and BOOM!! you blew up.
Please don’t throw it all away, remember those painful days, you don’t wanna go back to this suffer life, time flies and one day your contract will expire. My brother, it might be tough for you but I beg you to rethink your decisions and settle with your label.
This battle will cost you a lot, you know I will always tell you the truth. If I am wrong, I prefer to be wrong this time. I had no choice than to write you an open letter so hopefully other wise people will join me in pleading with you to settle with your boss because people are waiting to hear bangers from you. Ehen!!”
