You would recall that the state Governor Ayodele Fayose had earlier issued a warning to the herdsmen to desist from attacking any part of Ekiti state, his warnings were however not adhered to as residents in Oke Ako Community in Ikole Local Government area of Ekiti were yesterday night attacked by suspected Fulani Herdsmen.
The attacked was said to have been launched around 8pm last night with the attackers taking the villagers unaware. The attackers armed with various kinds of weapons ranging from automatic guns, arrows, machetes and swords, hacked and mauled the helpless villagers with their deadly weapons mercilessly with two person reportedly dead and several orders injured.
Those injured were said to be receiving treatment at a private hospital in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
