Controversial Hollywood actress,
Lindsay Lohan seems to have changed her religious affiliation from Roman
Catholic to Islam as the 29-year old has been spotted carrying a copy of the
Quran while going about her community service in New York.
In an interview with The Sun, the
actress described this as a religious re-awakening saying,
“I’m a very spiritual
person and I’m really open to learning.” She also said that there’s more to the
Islamic text than what many people have been led to believe even though she
confessed
she’s yet to complete reading the Quran.
“America has portrayed holding a
Quran in such a different way to what it actually is,” She explains. “I’m not
done reading it. Do you know how long that would take? It takes so long."
The “Mean Girls” star also
divulged that her 22-year old sister, Ali Lohan, is now a Buddhist.
