The National Youth Service Corps has confirmed the reports of the death of one of the Corps' member involved as adhoc INEC staff during last weekend's bloody inconclusive re-run elections in Rivers State.
The corps' member, Okonta Dumebi Samuel with call-up number RV/15B/5539, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ahoada West Local Government Area.
Okonta Samuel who until his demise served at GCSS Ukpeliede, is said to be an orphan.

NYSC condemned his killing and promised to work with relevant agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law.
The NYSC also confirmed that two other Corps' members who were with the deceased during the shooting incident escaped from the scene through the help of the security agents.
It was also confirmed that another Corps' member Anana Aniekan Udoetor (RV/15B/5537) who was earlier reported missing, had been found in hearty condition.
