Yunusa Dahiru a.k.a Yellow who is currently standing trial in Bayelsa state on a five count charge of criminal abduction and sexual exploitation of a minor, Ese Oruru, has been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa; pending prosecution.
The bail conditions include; a sum of N3 million and two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be a renowned title holder in the community and the other, a public servant from level 12 and above. Both sureties must be resident in Bayelsa state and must submit
their three years tax clearance certificate, while the public servant must also submit a letter of first appointment and last promotion letter.
In addition to the bail conditions, the trial judge, Justice H. Nganjiwa ordered that the defence counsel sign an undertaking that they will provide the accused in court for trial.
Meanwhile, the accused would be remanded in prison custody until the bail conditions are fulfilled. The case was adjourned to April 19.
