Nigerians are heaving a sigh of relief as the country's currency which had been having a free fall against the dollar in the parallel market finally strengthened to about N280 to a dollar in the Nigerian black market.
Nigerians from various parts of the coutry took to Twitter to announce the good news and provide how much their mallams black market in their respective states were exchanging it. The black market exchange rate ranged between N245 to N310 depending on the location.
In Benin and Portharcourt and Lagos, it was reported to be exchanging for about N260 - N280 to $1.
This is in light of the fact that as at Monday it was as high as N385 to $1.
