Underfire Manchester United
Manager, Louis Van Gaal, stormed out of his pre-match press conference on
Wednesday after insisting that the journalists owe him an apology for how they’ve
treated him in the papers.
The Dutch coach is underfire
after his Manchester united team has been performing woefully recently: They
crashed out of the Champions league at the group stage, haven’t won any of
their past 5 games; losing to newly promoted side Bournemouth and Norwich at
Old Trafford
and playing what many term “boring” football. All these have made
the English media launch a heavy attack on him by speculating on his sack, and
that ex-Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho is set to take over.
Van Gaal came into the Presser
obviously displeased at how the media have been “disrespecting” him and told
them that, “Has anybody in this room not a feeling to apologise to me? That’s
what I’m wondering.
“I think I was already sacked, I
read. I have been sacked. My colleague (Mourinho) was here aleady. What do you
think happens with my wife or my kids? Or with my grandchildren? Or with the
fans of Manchester United? Or my friends? What do you think?
“I am here only because of the
Premier League rules. I have to talk with you. But I can only see when I say
something that you use my words in your context.
Then, he stormed out of the room.
