When
PREFRON Buhari’s ministerial list came out, I was expecting to see some names.
I was expecting to see Angel Jubril/Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel,
Remiel, Marmoniel, Saraqael, Francis of Asisi, Mother Theresa, Khadija, Teresa of Avila, Aisha, Vincent de Paul,
Musa, Yusuf, Fatima, Mary, the Mother of Christ, in fact, I was expecting to see the Heavenly Hosts of Saints and Angels.
Kai! When I saw the names, ehn, I almost vomited on my phone! (I saw the names online while surfing the internet on my phone). After four months of waiting for PREFRON to name his ministers, I saw the names I saw. My body just weak. I was disappointed. I’m still disappointed. For four months, Nigerians were in suspense. We were eager to see the "righteous few" who would be on the list. The list came as a shocker to me.
The
list was a compilation of people with allegations against them. I thought that
the allegations against them would have been cleared before their names got on
the list. Unlike You-Know-Who, they weren’t dumb enough to buy ridiculously
expensive houses outside Nigeria. Maybe
that’s the reason they are still walking freely.
I
just hope that the senate does what is right by Nigerians. Anybody that has one
allegation or the other against them should not be made a minister. There are
incorruptible Nigerians out there.
In
my opinion, those people that returned large sums of money to their owners
should be the ones on that ministerial list. We don't need thieves that have a million
degrees yet they never learnt that corruption is bad and stealing is
corruption. Therefore, corruption is stealing.
God
bless Nigeria.
By the way, here are some names on the ministerial list:
1. Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola 2. Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi
3. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State
4. Former Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige
5. One-time Governor of Abia State, Ogbonaya Onu.
