“Baa, baa, baa sheep
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full
One for my master,
One for my dame,
One for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.”
The woman in this story has inspired me to make a remix:
“Mama, mama
Have you any bullet?
Yes child, yes child, 69 catridges yet
One for Scorpion,
One for Ben
One in your head if you don't gerra here, ehn.”
(Don't mind that the rhyme scheme is not "it")
Now to the gist, Edo State Police have arrested an
80-year-old woman who sell live bullets to robbers.
Madam Comfort Izeomwen was arrested after her accomplice,
Stella Omobude , was caught with 32 live
cartridges. Mama was nabbed with 68 live cartridges in Ekae, Benin City.
In her statement, she wrote that she sold the cartridges at
N 250 each. She went on to say that she didn't know what her buyers did with
them. She further stated that it was her source of livelihood.
Hahaha! She doesn’t know what they do with it? They use it
to pluck Mangoes in November. (In case you didn't get the sarcasm, mangoes are
not in season in November).
Comfort took comfort in selling sturvs stuff to kill
people.
