The Nigerian President today visited survivors of the Nyanya and Kuje Bomb Blast in the National Hospital, Abuja. He was led to see all the injuured patients. The victims of the bomb blast have been receiving treatment in the Trauma Centre at the National Hospital.
He was shown round by Chief Medical Director, Dr Jafaru Momoh. He sympathised with the victims and promised the government would take care of their bills.
One of the patient’s mother in the Pediatric ward, Mrs Deborah Stephen, had broken into tears on seeing President Buhari. She told him that her daughter had been shot by armed robbers who raided their home and that the family could not afford the medical bills. The President ordered that the girl's bill of N268,790.00 be paid.
The CMD of the National Hospital, Abuja, Dr Momoh expressed gratitude for the President's visit and said the visit will go a long way to help in the recovery of the affected victims.
