The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Otukpo Police Station in Benue State, Yahaya Pawa was on Tuesday December 1 shot by hoodlums.
The state police representative, Kate Anene affirmed the episode and furthermore uncovered that the occurrence happened on Tuesday morning after the DPO drove officials to Icho-Otukpo settlement to capture presumed criminals who plundered things during a fire flare-up in Otukpo market.
Speaking on his health and well being after the incident, Anene said Pawa is consistent and getting treatment at an undisclosed clinic.
