The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, has revealed...

how Nigeria can tackle issue of power supply.
Kyari talking at a media intuitive meeting with National Association of Energy Correspondents in Abuja, on Friday, said gas will enable the nation out of its significant need of power supply.
He uncovered that NNPC's new spotlight is on gas advancement as the strongest source of energy in the energy progress measure.
Kyari stated: "The only oil and gas that survived during the COVID-19 with minimal negative change was gas. Gas will help Nigeria out of its major challenge of electricity."
He uncovered that the greatest test in Nigeria "is to take electricity to homes, industries and to use the resources we have to create that energy this country needs."
As per him, Nigerians don't have power due to its failure to communicate it to those needing it.
"Today for two reasons we are not getting electricity because the production is low and we are not able to transmit it to those who need it.
“That means there is bottle neck in transmission and distribution system," he added.
The GMD noticed that in spite of the fact that Nigeria is known as an oil nation it is more a gas country than oil.
He, notwithstanding, guaranteed that NNPC would keep on attempting to guarantee full gas advancement in the nation for monetary development.
The absence of consistent power is one of the issues influencing Nigerians today.
