But it quickly came out that it was a global issue caused by a system change.
According to Twitter Support, “most of you should be back to Tweeting. The outage was caused by a system change initiated earlier then planned, affecting most of our servers.
“We’re working hard to bring Twitter back to normal and expect things to be fully resolved in 1-2 hours. We appreciate your patience.”
What is, however, noticeable is that the #EndSARS hashtag now has an emoji, with the country’s green and white colours.
Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey, had endorsed the call to scrap the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) two days ago.
