A Twitter user identified as Sisi Yemmie has advised mother to have someone with them during child delivery.
According to Sisi, corrupt hospital nurses are in the business of switching babies with healthy ones for money.
She wrote:
“Please always have someone with you in the hospital while giving birth. The person MUST be alert. MUST follow your baby. Some corrupt nurses/dr switch sick/dead babies with healthy ones if they’ve been paid. So pay attention!’
Following his tweet, some Twitter users shared instances where some hospitals switched babies after birth.
“I know of a teenager who gave birth, though she went with her sister who was away for a bit, the mother said she had a baby boy but when the baby was returned it was a girl, when asked how manage, was told the girl must have been to too weak to notice. Very important.”, @judith_onyii tweeted.
