A Nigerian social media activist, Michael Nwanator Jr. has written on his Facebook timeline that water baptism is not a Christian practice but rather a Jewish one. According to him, water baptism was a Jewish practice that was done for new converts and it was not meant to be a Christian practice.

Yeah, Christ was baptised according to their practice then. If Christ was born in the South East of Nigeria, He would probably pertake in our practices.
I have said it before, Christianity has been mixed up with Judaism.
True Christianity is gasping for breath to survive. The powerful people has reduced Christianity to almost nothing. All to control and enslave the people. They mix it up with Judaism because they want to control you. Lets look at Mathew 24:4-7
4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long;6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
The powerful fully understood that they can't control you under PURE CHRISTIANITY, they had to mix it up with Judaism. Just like a mixture of fanta and coke and lots of people are drinking it.
Salvation has no link with water baptism.

Acts 16:30-31
30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
Salvation doesn't come through water baptism rather baptism of the Holy Spirit, that's believing in Christ through faith. When you believe and confess your sins, the Holy spirit will come upon you, that's the baptism the above scriptures is talking about not water baptism.
During the pentecost, the Holy spirit came upon the apostles and disciples, that's the baptism Christians need.
Religion is a very big box, inside the big box there are smaller boxes. You have to get out from all the boxes to be a true Christian. I am out from some boxes, I am working towards getting out entirely.
You can't be a follower of Yehoshua/Christ and be a follower of man. In that building they called 'Church' even though a building isn't a church rather the body of christ and Christ lives in humans not a building. A Message for another day.
When they tell uou to practice something, let them show you were it was commanded by Christ, if none, don't partake, let only the gullible and man pleasers do their thing.
