More than 300 youths in Bayelsa State have denounced cultism and their engagement with cult related activities within the state.
The youths were reported to have converged today, 9th April 2018, with their leaders and government's representatives to proffer a final solution to the recent rise in crimes and cult related activities within the state.

The event which took place at the state volunteer office chaired by Hon. Prince Douye Koroye, witnessed the turn out of a large mammoth crowd.
The major highlight of the event was the presentation of the copy of the Secret cult/societies prohibition and similar activities prohibition law, 2018, by Hon. Peter Akpe, the majority leader of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly to the Bayelsa volunteer security network.

"We have the Governor of Bayelsa State, His excellency Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson tothank for this medium. He made it possible that the youth will come together and shield their swords to embrace peace.
Cultism is one of the activities that can steal your youth and you will only think you are having the best of times, but when tragedy strike, you will be no more and your family will only mourn you for some few days.
So we implore everyone present here to utilise the best of tjeir time and the government of Bayelsa State will ensure that every youth is adequately empowered to live a well fulfilled life" He said
