Fans in London that came out to see WizKid at the Wireless festival this weekend would’ve been left disappointed. The afropop singer was not able to perform due to visa issues.
WizKid was scheduled to perform at Wireless Festival UK on July 8th, 2016 (Friday) alongside Calvin Harris, The 1975, DJ Charlesy, 99 Souls and more artists.
The official twitter handle made the announcement a few hours before the show was scheduled to start. WizKid also made an apology shortly after.
It’s an interesting incident, especially considering that WizKid has not only performed in the UK before, but in other European countries. I guess the Nigerian passport comes with its set of problems
