We heard that veteran Congolese and soukous singer, Koffi Olomide had assaulted one of his female dancers (Pamela) ahead of a show in Kenya.
According to reports, the dancer had an argument with Koffi’s wife which prompted him to act the way he did but in a country that works, the rumba king is not going scot-free. Reports have it that the singer was dragged to court for assault which he pleaded not guilty.
However, his lawyer accused the police of manhandling his client but all did not go well for the singer as he was sentenced to prison for one year.
The singer via facebook and Congolese national broadcaster RTNC apologized to his country people and fans all over for his ungentlemanly behaviour.
