22-year-old Faith Adamma Okonkwo died after being bitten by a snake last week in her hostel. According to an Abia Based Newspaper, she was a student of the Institute of Management Technology Enugu (IMT), studying Computer Science and in her 3rd year.
She is an indigen of Anaoma Village ,Amichi ,Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
And this should also serve as a call to all school managements. They should put the lives of their students into consideration and set it as a priority to safe guard their students against all ills, such as this.
This kind of death is surely avoidable, but am very certain the lackadaisical attitudes the hostel management must have exhibited would have led to her death.
What a country with poor maintenance attitude.
