The singer, songwriter and producer has for a long time been cheated by the record label as they have not been giving the Wahala singer his complete entitlements;
“The label has been cheating Runtown of his money, they don’t give him his share of show performances, caller tunes and more but the boy has been keeping quiet about it all along till they threatened him with a lawsuit despite the fact that the label has no structure”
An injunction has been obtained from a Federal High Court preventing the singer from performing at any show or recording any music at the moment until the label endorses it, a source who pleaded animosity said; “After Eric Manny invested millions of naira in Runtown, he started colluding with his manager Bugwu Aneto, who also doubles as the general manager of Eric Manny, to sideline the label from money collected for shows”.
Runtown had to Bend Down Pause and look for a life line as he quickly got his lawyer to look up his contracts which gives him the right to terminate his contract at a court of arbitration. In response to the label, Runtown issued a letter giving reasons why he had to terminate his contract with the record label.
