The grouping for the football competition of the 2016 olympicc games that would take place in Brazil this
summer was done today in Rio.
Nigeria has been grouped in Group
B alongside Sweden, Colombia and Japan. The Nigerian team would be coached by Samson
Siasia and already, stars such as Iheanacho, Iwobi, Nwaakali, Osimhen, Ighalo
are being touted to be part of the team.
Group A has the host nation,
Brazil, to play alongside South Africa, Iraq and Denmark. Group
C comprises of
Fiji, Korea Republic, Mexico and Germany while Group D has Honduras, Algeria,
Portugal and Argentina.
The football competition would run from 4th
to 20th of August and would be played across six host cities in
Brazil.
