After Wizkid, award-wining indigenous
singer, 9ice is the latest artiste to publicly call out superblogger, Linda Ikeji.
The Alapomeji singer threw shade
at the blogger in his new song, At The Moment (ATM) which was uploaded to
YouTube yesterday.
A line of the song goes thus: “At the moment I want more
prosperity, I dey feel like Linda Ikeji, many money wey dey come from Dasuki”
This is definitely in reference
to the controversy that Linda Ikeji was involved in the
Dasukigate
Scandal. The gist had it that the blogger was paid N240million from the
embattled ex-NSA; allegations the blogger quickly debunked. But, people like 9ice obviously believed the
rumour.
The spat between 9ice and Linda Ikeji didn’t start today though; it
began in 2013 when the singer had first called out Linda Ikeji's blog and some other blogs
for uploading his songs for free. Linda replied him that she should be the one
asking him to pay her for uploading his song.
9ice replied by saying, “Where was Linda Ikeji when I was out with my first album? Linda Ikeji who
are you? I don’t even know her. Linda Ikeji if you are expecting a dime from
me, fa fa fa foul. You pay me before you upload my music.”
