This story broke today on Facebook. According to the gist, an Ondo man, Akinnifesi Olumide Olubunmi who is now dead, was caught in a gay act with another man (a politician identified as Honourable Dotun who is now on the run). a mob descended on Akinnifesi and beat him so mercilessly that he died of internal bleeding moments after being rushed to a hospital in the community.
Comments on the deceased man's facebook page had most commenters insulting and condemning the man for beimg homosexual despite the fact that he's dead. Although most of
the people who knew him personally attested to the fact that he is an easy-going and responsible guy only that they were all shocked to discover he's gay. One commenter even went as far as saying he might not rest in peace.
The politician with whom he was allegedly involved in the act with is reported to have fled the place. His house and property have however been destroyed and burned down.
No statement has come from the Police concerning this Jungle Justice.
