The Super Eagles of Nigeria were
held to a 1 -1 scoreline by the Pharaohs of Egypt last night in Kaduna in the first leg of their AFCON 2017 qualifier.
The Eagles disappointed by
letting Egypt equalize with just 2mins to go after taking a goal lead in the 61st
minute through midfielder Oghenekaro Etebor. The Eagles bossed most of the
second half and had several chances to increase their slim lead but couldn’t make
the chances count.
The Pharaohs finally equalized in
the 91st minute through a Mohammed Salah strike after a schoolboy
defensive blunder by the Nigeria’s defence.
