Superblogger, Linda Ikeji posted pictures of two Hermes Birkin bags which she claimed she got for at a store in London on instagram and immediately fans came for her saying the bag is fake. An instagram user went as far as asking Hermes, via their official social media page, whether the bag was original or fake and Hermes allegedly replied that, "the so called birkin bag on the picture is a counterfeit."

This got social media (Twitter and instagram) into a frenzy as people threw shade at Linda for posing with N25k fake Birkin even with all her money. Linda's long standing detractor, Dabota Lawson also joined in the sub:
The super blogger didn't take things lying low as she went on a posting rampage to defend her stand that the bags are original and even said she waited months to get the bag cos it's scarce. She also used the opportunity to remind the haters how rich she is and her collection of luxury bags.
