Who says nothing good or sincere can come out of social media? The wedding of the year so far, #TSquared2016 which shut down Lagos this weekend was made possible thanks to Twitter.
In December 2009, Tolu Oniru (a.k.a Toolz) was a young lady who just returned from her base in the U.K. to pursue a broadcasting career in Nigeria. Soon, her sweet soothing voice and enchanting persona made her the darling of every one who listened to her midday show
on the Beat 99.9FM (Including yours sincerely *wink*). Girls wanted to be her while guys lusted after her. Of all the men crushing on her, one was bold enough to express his feelings to her via a tweet.
In 2009, Tunde Demuren was a pilot with Aero contractors who was so enchanted with the Toolz of Beat FM that he sent her this tweet (above) disclosing that he has a tweet crush on her...this was before they were eventually introduced to each other by Banky W. Tunde co-owns EME music label with Banky W.
Six years later, this twitter love has ended in marriage.
