The nominees list for the 88th Academy Awards is out. The list was revealed Thursday morning by the Academy head and some selected actors and entertainers.

It might finally be Leonardo DiCarprio's year as he is nominated for the Best actor category for the 5th time (If this bros no win am this time, he should just accept that Oscar winner is not in his destiny....lol). Also,the movie that got Dicarprio the nomination, The Revenant top the nomination list with 12 nods including best Picture and Best Director.

However, their was a glaring absence of black/People of colour in the nominations making a lot of people blast the Academy for discrimination with the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite
