A prominent Akwa Ibom artist, popularly known as Teacher Ite , has been given a one-of-the-kind honour at his funeral by his sons.
A prominent Akwa Ibom artist, popularly known as Teacher Ite, has been given a one-of-the-kind honour at his funeral by his sons.
The artist was buried in grand style on Saturday, November 28, 2015, by his sons, who are also artistes. The sons designed a huge golden Casket in the shape of a shoe as the final resting place for their beloved father.
The burial of the community icon took place in Ibesikpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state. Teacher Ite dedicated his life to the art and two of his sons followed in his footsteps. Both sons who are graduates of Fine Arts, designed and produced the magnificent shoe-casket.
