Multiple award-winning music group, Artquake  has bluntly stated in a recent interview that they are not threatened or intimidated by young artist. Comprising the duo of ADX whose real name is Adegbite Adeniran and Adekunle Tomomewo also known as ICE-K, the duo etched a place for themselves in Nigerian musicdom with the hit track Alanta.

Hear them, “No, never, the sky is big enough to accommodate anybody, we have been here before some of them, we have our fanbase, we can’t because its not important, don’t forget, every product has its market, we are just like the BRT bus, we are on our lane and they are on their lane, so we have no reason to be intimidated, no body is competition with anybody. The good thing is that, they respect us because we mind our business, so no need for intimidation or feeling intimidated”.

On what has kept them united over the years they said, “So many people have asked that question, it’s been God and understanding, we understand ourselves very well. It’s not like we don’t have issues, but we don’t let a third party come in. I met my partner in 1995, that’s about 20 years now. We were undergoing our ND program in Kwara state polytechnic. I remember how music was done then. It was very stressful and there was nobody to help you. It was very difficult recording songs.

“My partner and I understand ourselves because we were friends before becoming business partners. For the other groups that got separated, obviously the only thing that brought them together was money, they didn’t see beyond money, they didn’t understand themselves well. I believe why we are still together is because we see ourselves as brothers, friends and partner. Not like we don’t have issues, we do, but understanding, tolerance and maturity has been our watch-word.

The ALANTA crooners and happy fathers who have featured artist like Oritse Femi in one of their latest single ‘Asiko’ Sound Sultan, Reminice and more have obviously paid their dues in this industry.
