The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned the corruption case against Senate President, Bukola Saraki to November 19, 2015.
The CCT postponed the case till today to allow the Court of Appeal make its ruling on the matter after Saraki approached the court to challenge the tribunal's jurisdiction to try him.
The Appeal Court ruled in favour of the tribunal on October 30 and the latter decided that it would continue with the trial despite a pending appeal at the Supreme Court.
This led to a protest from Saraki’s lawyers who subsequently walked out of the tribunal to show their anger.
The Senate President is being tried on charges of assrt declaration fraud brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.
