There’s this rumour flying around the internet that Mavin’s
Dynasty new single titled Jantamanta is related to an Indian god.
According to a blog, I read that: "Jantamanta is the name of a demon from India that wrecks young women by having sex with them in their dreams. He is responsible for failed marriages, jobs, deaths, and destruction to it's victims cos it's a jealous demon."
"In truth, I don’t know what genre to place this song under first, Afro beat, afro pop, or Hip Hop gyration as Nigga Raw will call it. It was like the Supreme Mavin Dynasty were doing a tribute song to Austino Milado. All the verses flowed on one call and response pattern and the last part by Di’ja was just an outstanding noise!
I personally checked up the Hindu pantheon but I didn't find
Jantamanta. I googled up the list of demons and I didn't find the name there.
People should stop spreading rumours. This goes on to say you can’t believe
everything you hear or read.
Meanwhile, someone gave a review of the song and rated it
3/10. In his words:
"My joy and excitement was cut short when I eventually listened to the song, Don Jazzy’s voice gave intro to the song and after that I battled to understand what was going on.

"The Mavins coming from Dorobucci, Looku Looku and Adaobi to this is clearly unacceptable. But Don Jazzy can be forgiven for this one, this could be an album filler for the SMD if they’re looking at dropping another album but it is certainly not a single to reckon with! Since it is Nigeria, give it 2 weeks it will become everybody’s ringtone and every club’s’ signature song.
"Aside this song though, the Nigerian music industry has been on a downward spiral lately and the quality of music is gradually fizzling out, I’ll toss the blame to radio D.J’s but that’s a story for another day.
"As for this Jantamanta jam I rate it 3/10. Its clearly abusive to the ears!"
There you have it. You still want to listen?
