Nollywood Actress, producer, and scriptwriter, Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa is now verified on Twitter.
Being Verified on Twitter, or any social media platform for that matter, is no mean feat and it's a landmark many people would kill (not literally o) to have. People even pay to have that little blue pass mark in front of their handles. Celebs and regular people (called "Twitter celebrities"), who attain this feat go all out to flaunt it in all our faces. Celebs who do not have
the verified status yet are usually mocked and made to feel less than by trolls (who I'd prefer to label: social media hooligans)
while fans literally 'beg' (or threaten) Twitter to verify their favourite celebs or accounts.
But what's it about the blue pass mark that's so special? The sign signifies that the paricular account is the official account of a very important personality or entity that has been verified and accredited by Twitter. In other words, it's a validation of your fame status of some sort.
Therefore, you can imagine my joy when I discovered that one of my favourite actresses, Funke Akindele, is now verified!
