Ahmed Adeeb, vice-president of the Maldives has been arrested over an alleged plan to assassinate President Abdulla Yameen.
The president of the Maldives was nearly killed in a blast that struck the boat that was returning him home from the airport.
According to BBC News, Ahmed Adeeb is now in detention andis being charged with high treason over his alleged involvement.
