A young mother Annabel Owhoghovo, has been arrested after she dumped her six-month-old baby at a refuse site at Owohelogbo community, Isoko Local Government Area of Delta State .
Sources said that she dumped her child after a quarrel with husband that later led to a fight between the couple.
According to neighbours, the reason for the fight, was as a result of the woman’s refusal to massage her husband’s feet after he came back from work and this led to physical combat after the arguments.
It was said that the fight continues the following day which the wicked woman thinks that throwing away the child is the only punishment for her husband.
She lied to her husband of going on a visit to her mother who stays at Abraka, not knowing that she had the intention of dumping the baby in a waste site of the town. The cries of the baby calls the attention of passersby and was rescued to the police station.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Celestina Kalu, said that; the mother had been arrested and is helping the police in their investigations after which she would be charged to court.
We hope she is taught a lesson to serve as a deterrent to others. You don't engage in se*** if you are not ready to bear the responsibilities.
