Believe it when they say, “Power Pass Power”!
The Deji of Akure, Ondo State, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi,
has banned Eze Ndi Igbo of Akure, Mr.
Gregory Ihoehike, from wearing his crown in Akure.
The Oba and Eze were in some sort of beef. And in order to
call a truce, the Oba gave the Eze list of conditions.
They are
1.
The Eze Ndi Igbo of Akure must apologise for his
unruly behaviour in at least 3
national newspapers. (Choi! I’m waiting to see that on one of the last pages of
my favourite newspaper)
2.
The Eze Ndi Igbo must apologise on Television.
3.
The Eze Ndi Igbo must write a personal letter of
apology to him, the Oba.
4.
The title “Eze Ndi Igbo” must be reviewed and
replaced with a non-controversial honorary title.
5.
Like you read earlier, the Eze must not wear his crown in Akure.
Governor Mimiko of Ondo State apologised on behalf of the embattled
Eze.
