Leland, six-year-old who had been diagnosed with amoebic
brain infection passed away last week in Georgia, USA. His mom with a heavy
heart said Leland was a very special boy from birth, she was interviewed by ABC7,
she also narrated how before he died, he left a note for his parents which
read: "Still with you. Thank you Mom and Dad."
His grieving mother, Amber Shoemake found the adieu note when she returned home
for the first time since her boy died so she could fetch clothes for his burial
ceremony.
The note was left on the living room
table. The heartbroken mother was quoted saying:
"We had no idea when he wrote
it but you can tell he was always a special child," Amber said. "We
will love you forever Leland. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs
bite!"
Many people
have paid tribute to Leland which are posted on Prayers for Leland Facebook page
where his mother has also shared her son's love of history, Adam Sandler, and
his academic strengths as a student.
