Vincent Enyeama will return to Nigeria this weekend to pay his last respects at his late mum’s funeral. This was confirmed by top sports journalist, Colin Udoh who claims to have inside information. The burial will take place on Friday October 2, 2015 at the his hometown in Akwa-Ibom.
Already Vincent Enyeama’s French club has given the keeper a leave of absence even as they face Nantes at home today and Montpeller on Friday.
The club’s coach, Herve Renard announced on Monday that the club had to let Enyeama return to Nigeria due to family pressures. The keeper was initially billed to lead the team against Nantes but has now been granted leave.
Enyeama lost his mother earlier this month which made him pull off the Super Eagles games against Tanzania and Niger.
