Despite getting bodied by Nicki Minaj at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus is now shading Taylor Swift and her (endless, increasing) posse of famous friends — and doing that thing where you pretend like you didn’t even WANT to go to that party you were pointedly not invited to…
“I’m not trying to be in the squad.” MC told The Times. “None of my friends are famous and not because of any other reason than I just like real people who are living real lives, because I’m inspired by them.”
O really, Miley? In essence you’re saying that the likes of Karlie Kloss and Selena Gomez are fake people living fake lives? One could make the argument that a girl who refuses to have famous friends is doing so because she insists upon being the biggest name in the clique…but surely MC that wouldn’t describe you.
Miley went on to say, confusingly, that these oh-so-real friends of hers are pretty much replaceable.
“It’s really scary,” she said. “If one of my friends doesn’t see me for two or three weeks, you have to re-get to know me in a way. My soul will still be the same, but everything around me can be different, and I won’t dress the same and maybe different kinds of people will be around.”
