To start with there were many rape stories in the media. The man that paid his seven-year-old daughter for sex, the man that took two of his daughters as lovers, the pastor that stashed a girl in his house in the guise of "deliverance", and others.
I hope we never have an influx of stories of this nature in future.

Another heart-wrenching story in the media was that of Oluchi Anekwe's demise . I don't want to say it took the media by storm. Oluchi was an aspiring young lady. She'd have clocked 22 on December 5. The circumstances surrounding her death was sad. She was electrocuted on her way back from mass. It's more infuriating that she could have survived if there was proper medical care.
There was the story of the trailer driver that was electrocuted. May their souls rest in peace, Amen.

Femi Fani-Kayode found his way into the media this week. After the election, he's tried to be relevant, I guess he thrives on attention. His Facebook post about Nigeria being built on a Satanic foundation rubbed off on different people in different ways. I saw sense in it, though.
In politics, Olisa Metuh vehemently said that President Buhari's portrait wouldn't be hung on the walls of the party's national office.
On the entertainment scene, Yemi Alade and Davido are on their way to win awards. http://www.blackberrybabes.com/2015/09/davido-needs-support-to-win-mtv-award.html
