The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have refused to remit the sum of N1.7bn to the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
The Chief Executive Officer, Panic Alert Security System, Mr. George Uboh, stated that over N1.7bn recovered from 15 companies were “over-due taxes on behalf of FIRS.”
We should remember that earlier last week, Chairman of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, was accused of refusing to remit over N2tn said to have been seized from corrupt public office holders.
