People occasionally add Marijuana
to their food. I came up with a word for the act, “hemping” (I’m trademarking
the word). This could be for various reasons. It could be for medicinal purposes. It is helpful for insomniacs. It's a
painkiller. Mary Jane, as it is fondly called, could also be used for recreational purposes. Just like you, I’m
entitled to my opinion. I don't think marijuana is criminal. It becomes
criminal when you use it for criminal reasons. If you use it and it doesn’t affect
anyone negatively, you’re good to go.
Three male students from Delta
State University (DELSU), Abraka, were arrested by the Delta State Police
Command, Asaba, for feeding a female schoolmate with hemped cake.
One of the culprit, Bassey Aniekan, a
200 level student of Department of Economics, confessed that he gave her the
hemped cake in order to trick her into a relationship. He allegedly
belongs to a cult group that terrorises the university and its environs.
If you attended DELSU, you might
have an idea of the cult group. (I will not come and go and put myself inside
trouble).
I can imagine him saying that he
fed her hemped cake to trick her into a relationship. Please, he could have
raped her. What a lucky lass! She’d have done that which she didn't want to do.
Women, girls should understand
that they’re not safe. With the media replete with rape stories, one can’t be
too careful.
