Indigenous pop singer,
Adekunle Gold, loved for his smooth renditions of heart-warming songs, has
revealed that his much-anticipated debut album would no longer be released on the date
previously announced.
The Orente crooner has disappointed
eager fans who have been earnestly looking forward to the June 1 release date
as he announced today that the release date would now be moved
forward to July.
He stated emphatically that this is due to the upcoming Muslim fasting period –
Ramadan.
Speaking about the new album
release date, Adekunle Gold said,
“I am pushing it forward a bit
because of Ramadan, it was supposed to drop for June 1 before, but apparently
it occurred to me that my muslim friends don’t listen to music during Ramadan,
so it makes sense to push it forward because of them as well, so by God’s grace
in July after Ramadan, and all of us can enjoy it together.”
