After last week's shootings in Oregon, USA, policicy proposals are now being made. Many presidential candidates were asked their opinion on gun rights, Ben Carson, author of Gifted Hands and current Presidential candidate also expressed his own view.Ben Carson who is now a retired neurosurgeon defended gun rights as a safeguard against government tyranny and said that mass shootings are a psychological health issue. 

In a Facebook post, he wrote about how, as a physician, he has had to treat several gunshot victims, commenting: "I never saw a body with bullet holes that was more devastating than taking the right to arm ourselves away." he said.

"I would not just stand there and let him shoot me. I would say: 'Hey, guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can't get us all."
